G&G is a medium duty vehicle fleet service company located in Central Florida. We are a quickly growing company with a multi-million dollar revenue stream. Our customer market is growing rapidly and we are in need of solid, experienced mechanics to meet our customers' needs.
Fleet Service Mechanics work evening shifts. Hours vary but typically are from 3am to1130am daily. Most work is completed on weekdays, but some weekend hours may from time to time be necessary. Our mechanics do onsite repairs at our customers' locations. These locations vary throughout Florida and south Georgia, so some travel is required. Our mechanics must be self-driven. They must possess the ability to work on schedule and commit to the needs of our customers. Tools and specific skills training will be provided, but a solid general background of automotive mechanics, pump and plumbing systems (for spray vehicles), electrical diagnostics, etc. is required.
We are currently looking for mechanics for work locations in Altamonte, Lakeland, Tampa, Largo and Sarasota as a Mobile Mechanic with an alternating schedule by location. Other location opportunities may be available as well. Mechanics can travel to these locations daily, but relocation may also be available upon mutual agreement.
Responsibilities:
- Repair automobiles, trucks, and power equipment.
- Perform routine vehicle preventative maintenance.
- Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components.
- Perform quality inspections and testing prior to returning the vehicle to service.
- Perform vehicle inspections to DOT standards.
- Complete thorough and professional service work orders for communication to company billing and our customers.
Qualifications:
- Minimum five (5) years experience as a mechanic. Experience with pump and spray systems, diesel, and heavy equipment preferable.
- Knowledge of shop equipment and tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills.
- Deadline and detail-oriented.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must have a reliable means of personal transportation to and from work sites as necessary.
- ASE certification and/or military equivalent a plus.
- Must be TEAM-ORIENTED. Able and willing to work with others with mutual respect and integrity.
