Job Description:

Talent Corps, is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Data Center Foreman to oversee and manage the operations of our data center construction and maintenance teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical, mechanical, and IT infrastructure systems, with significant experience leading teams in data center environments. As a Data Center Foreman, you will be responsible for supervising the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical systems, ensuring work is performed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a team of electricians, technicians, and other trade professionals in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical, mechanical, and IT infrastructure systems in data centers.

• Oversee the construction, expansion, and renovation of data center facilities, ensuring that all systems (power, cooling, network, and security) are installed and functioning according to specifications.

• Monitor daily operations to ensure the team is adhering to safety guidelines, project schedules, and quality standards.

• Coordinate the testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems, including UPS, generators, cooling systems, and power distribution units.

• Ensure that all work is completed according to technical drawings, schematics, and local building codes.

• Provide hands-on leadership and expertise in resolving complex system issues.

• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and labor hours for each project.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety protocols, including emergency procedures and disaster recovery planning.

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure projects meet deadlines, budgets, and performance specifications.

• Order materials and equipment necessary for the completion of work.

• Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure work meets high standards and is free of defects.

• Provide training and mentorship to team members and ensure their professional development.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in data center operations, construction, or maintenance

• Proven experience with electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and IT systems commonly found in data centers.

• Strong knowledge of data center industry standards and best practices (e.g., ANSI/TIA-942, Uptime Institute Tier Standards).

• Experience managing large teams and complex projects in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

• Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and resolve issues in a timely manner.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

• Knowledge of data center cooling, power systems, and network infrastructure.

• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and interact effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights or weekends, if needed, to ensure project completion or address critical issues.

• Must pass a background check and drug test.

Qualifications:

• Must have Data Center Experience

• Industrial and Commercial experience

• Experience with network systems, cable management, and fiber optic installations.

• Knowledge of disaster recovery, business continuity, and critical infrastructure operations.
