Frontend Engineering Manager

With our engineering and developer teams we do 100% Cloud Strategy, Mobile First in our approach of solutions, Technological Innovation in our problem solving aspect and many more with agility. Profile As an Engineering Manager, we need you to be a “REFERENT” to our teams who can help them with the technical know-hows, the plan on how we can build or scale our solutions following the best practices with a strong flavor of technology and Innovation. Animating and taking decisions on technical evolution and enhancements along with the key stakeholders involved in the project.You will be working collaboratively with the product owners, solution architect, senior engineering managers to execute different projects as per the business strategies inline with the industry standard practices (Agile, Kanban) while being an actor on the scope. To be more specific, we are looking for someone who are stronger than who were are at the same time who has the following:What you’ll be doing· Lead and mentor a team of React/NextJs and NodeJs developers, promoting a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and excellence.· Hands on development in React, NextJs and other frameworks· Working with the multiple Product Owners, Engineers, Designers, and other stakeholders.· Contributing to enhance and stabilize the web portals· Take ownership on post-release and incident support for Decathlon Web Portals· Conduct code reviews and ensure high coding and architecture standards.Skills and Experience· 10-12 Years of experience in web development, with at least 3-4 years specializing in ReactJs· At least 1 year experience in building customer facing mobile optimized Web platform, preferably e-commerce application· At least 1 year experience in leading 5-6 members team· Experience in TypeScript, NextJs, NodeJS, CI/CD· Experience in React Hooks, Redux, HTML5 and CSS3.· Unit and Integration testing (i.e. Jest)· JSON Manipulation, API integrations· Performance optimisation of NodeJS based SSR and CDN projects· Focus on quality, automation, and metrics· Comfortable working within a design framework· Good understanding of the wider frontend frameworks and tooling landscape including other JavaScript Frameworks· Knowledge of Web architecture and patterns· Experience of working in a fast-paced agile environment· Good planning and time-management skills· Relationship management of both internal and external resources· Ability to build strong relationships with different teamsNice to have skills -GraphQLBuilding BFF layer using Fastify/ExpressAWS or any other cloud services
