Job Description
Initial 6 month Fixed Term Contract - full company benefits - potential to convert to permanent position
Main Purpose of Role:
The Project Assistant role is central to enabling the business to manage very high levels of change during a period of rapid growth. You will report into the Restructure Controller and sit within a team who manage some of the largest projects in the business.
You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of Finance project templates, data collection and analysis, recording and reporting of projects, and ensuring quality inputs are provided for review by stakeholders.
Strong relationships with all departments will need to be built and maintained, whilst ensuring high levels of delivery and engagement.
Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with the Restructure Controller to maximize productivity, contributing to the entire project lifecycle.
Ensure the agreed project management methods, standards and processes are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of action plans to enable proper time, resource, and process management.
Co-ordinate the production of all key project status reports and portfolio summaries, consistently looking for ways to automate the process and limit impact on contributors
Recording and reporting of project costs/benefits, in co-ordination with the Project Accounting Team
Assisting in data collection, development, and analysis to enable proper decision making and goal setting
Maintain central risk and issue logs and change control records.
Develop and support effective communication mechanisms between projects/teams
Providing clerical support to Project Managers that help them perform their duties quickly and accurately
Organize and monitor schedules and see that deadlines are met.
Work with the central PMO to ensure consistency and alignment to, and maintenance of , PO library, templates, filing, recording and reporting systems
Undertake any other business tasks commensurate to role.
Person Specification/Competencies:
Essential
Previous experience supporting projects
Previous experience in a finance or legal environments
Thrives in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment – flexibility is key
A self-starter, able to work at pace, comfortable creating standards and processes where they may not exist
Strong organisational skills
Be an excellent/proven team player
Confident in working with technical, finance, and legal experts, drawing on experience and the ability to think logically to contribute effectively
Excellent communication and stakeholder management at all levels
Excellent influencing and collaboration skills
Experience in building and sustain effective and trusted relationships at all levels
Excellent IT skills including MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and comfortable with various management reporting systems
Excellent presentation and written communication skills.
Preferred
PRINCE2 or APM PMQ

To work alongside the restructure Programme Manager across Legal / Operations / Finance
Highly organised, bright and agile individual required to work in a face past environment working with various stakeholders. Ability to book meetings, coordinate project dead-lines.
Self starter and confident individual - graduate educated
Based: Keynsham near Bristol
Working: 3 days on site, 2 days remote
