A Garage Door Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing garage door systems to ensure their safe and efficient operation. This role combines mechanical expertise with customer service skills to address a variety of garage door issues.

MUST HAVE 1 YEAR FULL GARAGE DOOR INSTALLATION/SERVICE EXPERIENCE. THERE WILL BE A SERIES OF QUESTIONS ASKED AN EXPERIENCED GARAGE DOOR TECHNICIAN WOULD KNOW TO ENSURE INTEGRITY AND FAIRNESS OF APPLICANTS WITH EXPERIENCE. 

Key Responsibilities:

Installation: Assemble and install residential and possibly commercial garage doors, openers, and related components.

Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.

Repair: Diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical issues with garage door systems, including extension/Torsion springs, cables, rollers, and openers.

Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with customers to explain service options, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction with completed work. Invoicing/Payments/Sales

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for both the technician and the customer.

Inventory Management: Manage and maintain an inventory of tools and replacement parts in the service vehicle to ensure readiness for various service calls.

Qualifications:

Experience: Previous experience in garage door installation and repair is but not required; comprehensive training will be provided. 

Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and perform tasks that involve bending, climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods. 

Driver's License: A valid driver's license, as the role involves traveling to various job sites.

Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.

Work Environment: Comfortable working in various weather conditions, including heat and cold, both indoors and outdoors.
