Responsibilities:

As an Apprentice Carpenter/Laborer at Johnson Construction Group, you will play an integral role in our construction projects and gain hands-on experience in the industry. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Utilizing general labor skills to support various construction tasks.
• Cleaning and preparing construction sites for work.
• Loading and unloading materials and equipment.
• Assisting in the erection and dismantling of scaffolding and temporary structures.
• Digging trenches, compacting, and backfilling trenches/holes.
• Operating and tending to machinery and heavy equipment.
• Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans.
• Assisting skilled tradesmen in their duties.
• Ensuring daily jobsite clean-up.
• Creating a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols.
• Interacting professionally with customers, trade partners, and suppliers/vendors.
• Undertaking other maintenance duties as required.

Other Requirements:

• Physical strength and stamina.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Open to direct instruction and adaptable to changing tasks and assignments.
• Willingness to learn new skills and participate in technical training.
• Willingness to travel, if necessary.
• Dedication to a DRUG-FREE workplace.
