Their flagship service partners with airports to seamlessly integrate these businesses into the airport commerce ecosystem, providing comprehensive support from strategic planning to implementation.
ABOUT THE ROLE

Location: On-site at Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ), New Mexico

Compensation: Up to $52,000 annually

Contract Duration: One Year Temporary Employee (with potential for extension)
Ever-Evolving Consulting is seeking an experienced General Manager to support the Ascend ABQ Concession Program. This role will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day operations, managing stakeholder relationships, and acting as the primary point of contact (POC) for business owners. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting micro-businesses in retail and excel at ensuring seamless operations during business owners' absences.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Selection & Onboarding

Lead the candidate selection process, including application reviews, interviews, and evaluation coordination for the ABQ Concession Program

Prepare business owners for the retail environment through onboarding and setup support.
2. Stakeholder Coordination & Business Operations
-
Serve as the primary on-site POC for business owners, coordinating all operational aspects, including staffing, inventory, and business challenges.

Collaborate with businesses to ensure smooth operations and compliance with airport regulations.

Act as a liaison between businesses and airport stakeholders to address any operational concerns.

Coordinate and oversee operational transitions and setup for new business openings.

Manage all logistics pertaining to the Retail Merchandising Units (RMUs).
4. Performance Monitoring & Reporting

Develop KPIs and performance tracking tools to measure operational success for the businesses

Provide regular reports to key stakeholders with insights and recommendations for improvement.

Assist with conducting training sessions for business owners on retail operations and best practices.

Offer ongoing guidance to improve business performance and customer engagement.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Experience:
-
5+ years in program or operations management, preferably involving micro-businesses or retail environments.

Experience coordinating high-traffic retail or concession operations is highly desirable.
Skills:
-
Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Experience in training and mentoring small business owners.
Knowledge:

Understanding of retail operations, including inventory management and customer service best practices.

Familiarity with airport retail dynamics or high-traffic environments is a plus.
Abilities:

Coordinate day-to-day operations onsite with efficiency and in the commutable distance to the Albuquerque, New Mexico airport.

Build strong relationships with stakeholders and business owners to foster collaboration.

Evaluate operational data and provide actionable insights.
