General Operations Manager - Concrete & Heavy Equipment

Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a strategic vision and business plan for operations, aligning with the organization's goals and objectives. Drive efficiencies and improvements across both the concrete supply and heavy equipment sectors.
- Operations Oversight: Manage daily operations across multiple business units, ensuring streamlined processes, resource allocation, and operational excellence.
- Sales and Business Development: Lead sales efforts, establish business development strategies, and foster strong customer relationships to drive revenue growth in both industries.
- Inventory and Procurement: Oversee procurement strategies, inventory management, pricing, and product availability to meet market demands in both the concrete supply and heavy equipment industries.
- Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service by fostering a culture of responsiveness, technical expertise, and commitment to client satisfaction.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, and manage a team of professionals across departments, fostering a high-performing and collaborative work environment.
- Financial Management: Develop budgets, conduct financial analysis and benchmarking, and implement cost control measures to optimize profitability for both business units.
- Marketing and Promotion: Develop and execute marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness and customer engagement across both industries.
- Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control standards for services, production, and equipment maintenance.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable industry regulations, safety standards, and legal requirements.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key suppliers, manufacturers, contractors, and industry partners.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to adapt business strategies effectively.
- Facility and Equipment Maintenance: Oversee facility management, equipment maintenance, and workplace safety, ensuring efficient and safe operations across all locations.
Key Qualifications/Skills:
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the concrete or heavy equipment industries.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.
- Excellent financial acumen, including budgeting, financial planning, and cost control.
- Experience in sales and business development, with a track record of driving revenue growth.
- In-depth knowledge of inventory management, procurement, and supply chain strategies.
- Strong customer service and ability to build lasting client relationships.
- Comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in strategic planning, market analysis, and competitive benchmarking.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel between multiple locations as needed in the region and down to Premiere.
