We’re looking for Generator Service Technician’s to join our clients busy service team in Barking. As a Generator Service Technician, you will have an integral role within the service team, assisting in the delivery of the business's on-site activities. You must be able to work independently or as part of a team to meet customer expectations and achieve our company goals.

Weekend availability Generator Service Technician - Requirements & Responsibilities



To cover all aspects of generator servicing including oil and filter changes and oil, fuel, and coolant sampling.

To conduct load bank testing on customer-owned generator units

To accurately fault find and diagnose both mechanical and electrical issues

To work on a broad range of generator/engine brands including (but not limited to) Cummins, Perkins, Caterpillar, John Deere, Volvo, Scania, Iveco, and Dorman

To be able to work independently on engines from 2kVA to 2.5mVA

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Prior experience in the generator industry or similar

Able to work as part of a team, supporting colleagues

Flexible and self-motivated, you will be keen to embrace new training opportunities, which may on occasion require staying away from home

Great communication skills – both verbal and written

Customer-Focused with a commitment to delivering an excellent service

Effective planning and organisation skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy

A valid driving licence with no more than 6 points
