Geo-Environmental Consultant

A Geo-Environmental Consultant position has come available in Birmingham for an award winning Geo team, assisting delivery on major complex land regeneration projects within a multi disciplinary environment.



The role as a Geo-Environmental Consultant will be 50/50 split between office and site works. Site works are generally not ground investigation but focus on earthworks, remediation and verification of extremely complex large scale brownfield sites.



Your responsibilities as a Geo-Environmental Consultant will include both aspects of geo-environmental and geotechnical delivery of projects. Typical responsibilities will surround; project management, financial forecasting, tenders/bids, phase 1's, designing GI's, interpretive reporting, remedial methods, risk assessments, validations and onsite remedial monitoring.



You will be working across disciplines and assessing ground conditions to give geotechnical recommendations, earthwork specifications, and calculating settlements and bearing capacity for large scale commercial developments.



To progress as a Geo-Environmental Consultant, you must:



Obtain a 2:1 In Geology, Environmental Science or Geotechnics. Ideally with an MSc.

1-3 years experience within a Geo-Environmental/Geotechnical Consultancy or Contractor

Experience managing Ground investigations using various drilling techniques

Experience report writing, ideally interpretive.
