Geol Data Manager

We are looking for a Geol Data Manager for one of our clients with the following details:

Start Date: April 2025

Location: Namibia

Duration: 6 to 8 months

Rotation: 4 teams in rotation

Work Shift: 3 shifts, 8 hours per shift

Qualification and background

• Degree in Geology, Geophysics, or Geological Data Management.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the mining or exploration industry.
• Proficiency in geological data management software (e.g., Micromine, Leapfrog, SQL).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Strong communication skills to interact with different teams.
• Ability to work in rotations with extended shifts (3 shifts, 8 hours per shift).
• Experience in a multicultural and dynamic environment is a plus.

Activities

• Oversee and manage the collection, processing, and storage of geological data.
• Ensure data integrity, quality, and continuous updating of geological databases.
• Ensure compliance with technical standards and safety requirements.
• Collaborate closely with geologists to analyze data and provide detailed reports.
• Implement effective systems and tools for managing and extracting geological data.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in geological data management processes.
• Train and guide team members on best practices for data management.
