As a Global Early Talent Program in Finance participant, you will get hands-on responsibility from the start. You will rapidly build your skills, network and experience through a series of exciting, cross-functional, cross-divisional, and international assignments.

For this particular position, you will be hired within the ELDS NAM team in Monterrey, Mexico. You will be reporting to the Local Division Controller.
The program is made up of three assignments in different roles.
1) One six-month assignment in your home country as an introduction to the business.
2) One six-month assignment abroad to get an overview of ABB’s operations in a different environment/role and work on an exciting assignment with a different team, expanding your network.
3) One six to twelve-month assignment back to the home country/home business, where you will deepen your knowledge of the business and of your function.
During the program we will take the participants on a leadership competency development journey. The last rotation will also be the time where the participants start to look for their final position, to be started after the end of the program. All program trainings are meant to build the foundations of your future career evolution.
Your responsibilities
- Depending on the assignment role you will be in, most common responsibility can include tasks within Operational (Accounting and Reporting) and Strategic Controlling and Finance.
- Implement Performance Profitability by Product Line.
- Lead a cost optimization project in a large Factory.
- Be involved in the implementation of the fabrication costing process.
- Be involved in the implementation of Project Controlling procedures in a large manufacturing unit.
- Create and automate Routine/Ad-Hoc Financial Reports for Senior Management.
- Implementation of dashboards and verification of profitability by product line and location.
- Database management
- Cost analysis of products, manufacturing parts and revision of project margins.
- Coordination of information with different stakeholders and preparation of reports for Management.
- We support and inspire you to step out of your comfort zone to develop your leadership and management skills as well as your communication skills.
Your background
- Recent graduate with no more than 3 years of experience in total.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related fields (Master of Finance is a plus).
- Previous initial work experience in the finance function can be considered.
- Professional fluency in English, other languages are a plus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Team spirit and global mindset with persistence and curiosity to learn and open to new ideas.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Advanced Excel.
- Experience in macro development and power pivot. Management of large databases.
- Desirable knowledge in Power BI and programming language.
- Manufacturing knowledge.
