Description :Business OverviewThe Rakuten Group's basic management philosophy is to "empower" people and society through innovation.Rakuten Group offers more than 70 diverse services, including the online shopping mall Rakuten Ichiba, e-commerce services such as the travel booking site Rakuten Travel, financial services such as Rakuten Bank, and professional sports.Department OverviewIn order to support the growth of Rakuten Group to become a global innovation company that empowers people and society, the mission of our Learning & Development Section is to provide a platform where employees can develop their skills and competencies based on our Rakuten Principles. Position:Why We HireReplacementPosition Details- Act as the primary lead for planning and formulating strategies and training programs such as global training, selective training, future leaders training to develop global talent.- Partner with the global HR team to align training programs globally within Rakuten Group.- Formulate an Englishnization policy and support the implementation when a new group company joins Rakuten Group.- Manage stakeholder communication.- Manage team members.- Break down challenging issues/missions that come down from CEO and executives and propose ideas/solutions to answer to request.- Evaluate, measure and report training related data, including training effectiveness, enhancement and fulfillment of each training objective.Desired Outcomes:- Manage and assist successful delivery of all trainings and development curriculum as well as reporting to related parties.- Collaborate smoothly with the International HR team on HR programs.- Develop and maintain good partnership with related parties and vendors.- Be able to provide logical solutions to requests given by executive team and manager.- Be a recognized trusted leader in the team and be able to think ahead of the curve.Mandatory Qualifications:- Minimum of 5-10 years progressive management/leadership experience.- Minimum of 5 years experience in talent development.- Leadership experience in designing and implementing of wide range of trainings such as selective trainings, future leaders trainings, etc.- Excellent communication skills for a variety of stakeholders, such as executives.- Ability to coach for development, with exceptional consultative and facilitation skills and ability to influence to get results.- Fluent in English and Japanese.
