Salary: Up to £30K or £17-£20 per hour

The Opportunity



Are you a recent civil engineering graduate or an Assistant Site Engineer looking to gain hands-on experience? Join a respected civil engineering contractor delivering key infrastructure projects in Edinburgh. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills on-site, working alongside experienced engineers and project managers.



Your Role



Reporting to the Project Manager, you’ll play a key role with ensuring:



* Setting Out & Surveying – Using Total Stations and GPS to mark out structures, roads, and drainage.



* Quality Assurance – Checking that works meet design specifications and industry standards.



* Site Documentation – Keeping accurate records, including as-built drawings, reports, and daily diaries.



* Health & Safety Compliance – Ensuring safe working practices are followed on-site.



* Supporting Site Management – Assisting with subcontractor coordination and progress tracking.



What We’re Looking For



* A degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a related field.



* Previous site experience (placement or post-grad) is desirable



* A solid understanding of surveying equipment (Total Station, GPS).



* Strong communication and organisational skills.



* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.



* CSCS Card (or willingness to obtain).
