Specialising in serving blue chip utilities.\n\nPosition Summary:\n\nWe are currently seeking dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join our team based in the Gillingham and surrounding area (postcode ME8).

In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the grounds surrounding hazardous installations, such as substations and gas terminals, for various prestigious clients across our extensive contract portfolio.\n\nThere may be an occasional requirement to stop away from home when the sites you work on are a distance from your home address.\n\nPlease Note: A driving licence is essential for this role therefore candidates must possess this to be considered.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nWork as part of a two-person operations team, closely supported by our dedicated contract teams.\nEnsure the highest standards of health and safety are maintained throughout all operations.\nConduct routine grounds maintenance tasks, in accordance with company procedures and client requirements.\nUtilise your PA1 PA6 certifications, with a preference on knapsack spraying expertise to contribute to the effective management of maintenance.\nApply your exceptional organisational and communication skills to coordinate tasks efficiently.\nDemonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.\nMaintain a valid UK Driving licence for required travel.Essential Criteria:\n\nExperience and knowledge of strict H&S operations and its practical implications\nExcellent organisational and communication skills\nAbility to work using own initiative and as part of a team\nNPTC PA1 & PA6 (preferably knapsack spraying)\nFull UK Driving Licence\nAbility to stop out due to coverage with Stopping out bonus.Desirable Criteria:\n\nPA2ar (quad bike spraying)\nWoodchipper\nUtility Arboriculture Qualifications\nSHEA Passports (SHEA Gas, Power or Water)\nManual Handling certification\nFirst Aid certification\nGrounds Maintenance certifications Person (substations)\nCompetent Person (substations)Benefits:\n\nA competitive salary, commensurate with your qualifications and experience\nInclusion in the Government Pension Scheme\n20 days of annual leave - some of which is taken for a full Christmas shut down\nProvision of vehicle, equipment, and Personal Protective Equipment PPE\nAccess to an Employee Assistance Program, free confidential Health and wellbeing adviseIf you are passionate about grounds maintenance and possess the required qualifications and experience, we encourage you to apply.\n\nNote: Due to the high volume of applications, we receive, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted personally.\n\nCandidates with the relevant experience or job titles of: Landscape Gardener, Landscape Operative, Experienced Groundworker, Landscape, Landscaper, Garden, Grounds, Ground Maintenance Operative, Garden Project Management, Grounds Worker, Grounds maintenance team members, may also be considered for this role
