This role will see you leading a team of engineers who are accountable for engineering options analysis and scope development.  You will use your technical leadership skills to lead the development of scopes and estimates for Customer and Company initiated projects across AusNet’s Electricity Transmission network. You will drive innovation and ensure best practice Engineering principles are applied to ensure that cost effective and constructible scopes can be delivered. With a hybrid split (Office/WFH)), this role is based in Southbank, Melbourne and is part of our Project Development (Delivery) team within our Transmission line of business. This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:   Lead the production of project scopes to ensure technical requirements are met by: o Reviewing/checking all documents, business cases submitted as final handover to the initiator o Active engagement in the constructability, operability and maintainability (COM) reviews o Ensure all technical disciplines have been considered (Primary/Civil/Structural, Secondary, Comms, lines) o Ensure technical solutions follow Ausnet standards Play an active role in managing team resource allocation Monitor and manage timely delivery of project scopes Provide technical supervision and leadership on projects and provide technical guidance to team members Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders (Project Initiators, Technical SMEs) Provide engineering input into commercial offers on customer projects You don’t need to tick every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of: Detailed technical knowledge and extensive experience in electricity networks engineering Ability to simplify complex engineering analysis for non-engineers Breadth of engineering knowledge to support scoping of transmission projects Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar Significant experience working in electrical engineering, electrical project delivery and/or electrical design role Demonstrated experience managing projects simultaneously from conception through detailed design Demonstrated experience in reviewing an improving business processes A real place to belong.  We celebrate unique voices, refreshing perspectives and diversity in our team. Engage and connect through our social club, family day, wide range of events or by joining one of our Employee Network Groups.   We believe in more than just competitive pay.
