Group Technical & Statutory Reporting Manager, PE backed Sustainability, c£100k + bonus, London\n\nWe are working exclusively with a fast-growing sustainability consultancy who are backed by an instantly recognisable PE powerhouse. As the business continues to grow both organically and through strategic acquisitions, they are seeking a skilled and motivated Group Technical & Statutory Accountant to join their London-based team.\n\nReporting to the Head of Group Reporting, the Group Technical & Statutory Accountant this role offers exceptional exposure across the business and opportunities for professional growth, particularly in a dynamic, rapidly expanding organisation.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nLead the preparation of consolidated statutory accounts for the group, including complex processes such as IFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss modelling and annual goodwill impairment reviews.\nAct as the primary contact for external auditors, managing the audit process\nOversee the audit and reporting requirements for UK statutory entities (approximately 25 companies), including first-time audits for newly acquired entities. \nConduct technical accounting analysis, prepare papers for management and auditors, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS 3, 9, 15, 16).\nRepresent the Finance team on group projects, partnering with Legal, Tax, and Treasury departments on structural changes and entity rationalisation initiatives.\nContribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of the Global Finance Manual, improving internal controls and processes.\nLead and mentor a small team of qualified accountants \n\nRequired Skills and Experience:\n\nACA/CA qualified with 5+ years post qualified experience\nStrong technical expertise in IFRS, with a deep understanding of complex standards such as IFRS 3, IFRS 9, IFRS 15, and IFRS 16.\nProven experience in managing audits \nOrganised and process-driven with excellent time management skills, capable of taking ownership and meeting deadlines independently.\nA proactive team player, keen to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvements in processes and controls.
