Location: New Jersey, NJ / Philadelphia, PA & New Yok 2 days onsite Hybrid
Job Description:
The Guidewire Claim Architect will be responsible for the architectural design, implementation, and optimization of the ClaimCenter solution within an insurance organization. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to ensure that claims management systems are optimized for performance, scalability, and usability. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Guidewire ClaimCenter and other related Guidewire products, as well as a strong understanding of the insurance industry's claims process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architecture Design & Strategy:
- Lead the design and development of the claims management system using Guidewire ClaimCenter.
- Define and establish the architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices for implementing ClaimCenter.
- Ensure integration of ClaimCenter with other core systems (e.g., policy, billing, and external systems).
- Align solutions with business requirements, scalability, security, and performance goals.
- Solution Development:
- Develop and customize ClaimCenter configurations, workflows, and rulesets to meet business needs.
- Lead the development of integration points between ClaimCenter and external applications using Guidewire APIs and services.
- Oversee the development of claims-specific features and functionalities, including claims handling, workflow automation, and reporting.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to understand the insurance claim processing requirements and ensure that the system is capable of fulfilling them.
- Serve as a technical leader and mentor to other developers and architects.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Technical Leadership:
- Provide subject-matter expertise in ClaimCenter implementation, best practices, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and optimization of claims-related systems.
- Continuously evaluate new technologies, tools, and methods to improve the claims system architecture and processes.
- Testing & Quality Assurance:
- Oversee the creation of test plans and execution of tests to ensure the integrity and quality of the system.
- Perform debugging and troubleshooting of issues that arise in the claims management system.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Guidewire software, insurance industry best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Recommend and implement process improvements that increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the claims system.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree ).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Guidewire ClaimCenter, including at least 2-3 years in an architecture or lead role.
- Strong knowledge of Guidewire ClaimCenter product suite and its components (e.g., ClaimCenter, PolicyCenter, BillingCenter).
- Experience with integrations to external systems (e.g., third-party services, legacy systems, or databases).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Guidewire Studio, ClaimCenter configuration, Gosu (Guidewire's programming ), and integrations using XML, Web Services, and REST APIs.
- Strong understanding of claims lifecycle and business processes in the insurance industry.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, including working in Scrum or Kanban teams.
Experience with databases (SQL Server, Oracle) and data management
