Role Overview: As the Head of Engineering in India, you will play a pivotal role in leading our engineering team, driving technological excellence, and shaping the future of our products and services. This senior leadership position requires a visionary leader with a strong technical background and a proven track record of managing high-performance engineering teams in top-tier technology companies. You will be responsible for scaling the team, enhancing productivity, and ensuring that our engineering practices meet the highest standards. Key Responsibilities: Leadership in India: Serve as the senior engineering leader in India, representing DigitalEx's engineering vision and strategy. People Management and Team Growth: Recruit, mentor, and retain top engineering talent; foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. Enhancing Developer Experience, Productivity, and Product Quality: Implement best practices, tools, and processes to streamline development workflows and improve efficiency and quality of the features. Ownership and Accountability: Ensure the engineering team delivers high-quality products on schedule, taking responsibility for meeting business objectives. Strong Engineering and Architectural Expertise: Provide technical leadership in software design, system architecture, and code quality; stay abreast of emerging technologies. Release Management: Oversee the software release process, ensuring smooth deployments and maintaining high availability and reliability of our services. On-call Rotation and Support: Establish and manage an effective on-call rotation, ensuring rapid incident response and minimal downtime. Qualifications: Experience: Over 10 years of experience managing high-performance engineering teams at major technology companies such as AWS, Google, Microsoft, Meta, etc. Leadership Skills: Proven track record of scaling engineering teams and leading them to deliver complex software solutions. Technical Expertise: Strong background in software engineering, architecture, cloud technologies, and AI-driven solutions. Strategic Thinking: Ability to align engineering initiatives with business goals and drive strategic projects. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with global teams and stakeholders. Agile Methodologies: Experience with agile development practices, DevOps, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to make data-driven decisions. Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours to collaborate with global teams across different time zones.
