As a zero-to-one startup, we are on a mission to transform professional connections, enabling individuals to own and control their digital identities while seamlessly connecting with work opportunities. --- Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Engineering who will eventually grow into the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO). The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation, proven leadership skills, and a passion for blockchain technology. In this role, you will work directly with the CEO on product development, idea generation, and rapid prototyping, while also leading and scaling an engineering team, including offshore developers. This is a pivotal role in defining the technical vision and future of the company. --- Key Responsibilities - Collaborate closely with the CEO to brainstorm, prototype, and refine ideas to help establish product-market fit. - Define and execute the company’s technical strategy and vision. - Lead and manage the engineering team, ensuring high-quality code and on-time delivery. - Oversee the development and deployment of new features and improvements for the platform. - Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient technical solutions. - Stay informed of emerging technologies and industry trends to continually enhance the platform. - Build and maintain a robust, scalable architecture for our decentralized identity platform. - Hire, mentor, and grow the engineering team as the company scales. --- Qualifications - Proven experience in full-stack development with expertise in Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and Solidity. - Strong understanding of blockchain technology and its applications in decentralized networks. - Experience with decentralized identity solutions is a plus. - Demonstrated leadership and management experience, preferably with offshore development teams. - Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment. - Zero-to-one startup experience is highly valued. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with fluency in English.
