Job Title: Senior Head of Engineering Production

We have an exciting opportunity with our esteemed international engineering client! We're on the lookout for a dynamic and seasoned professional to fill the pivotal role of Senior Head of Engineering and Production. Reporting directly to the Senior Leadership Team, this role calls for a visionary leader with a wealth of international experience, particularly in overseeing multidisciplinary teams on a global scale and successfully delivering large-scale production projects. Ideally, you bring a robust engineering background, preferably gained in challenging environments such as oil and gas, marine, or subsea product production.

The role is hybrid with visits to either Glasgow or Aberdeen office, travelling internationally for client visits

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure effective execution across the entire engineering lifecycle, from initial design development to end-of-life considerations, encompassing all company global sites. We seek a strategic and innovative thinker, laser-focused on delivery and possessing the ability to lead teams of highly skilled engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

* Leadership of high-calibre engineering teams

* Governance oversight with a focus on technical aspects

* Supervision of all products, including design and certification of a diverse product range

* Full lifecycle management of multiple products, from design to manufacture

* Involvement in overseeing Research and Development (R&D)

* Close collaboration with internal management and the Head of the Supply Chain

* Ensuring achievement of health, safety, environment, sustainability, and security objectives, with direct responsibility for the safety of engineering personnel and the safe design, validation, and certification of our products for customers and stakeholders.

Essential Skills and Experience for the Senior Head of Engineering Production Role:

* Degree qualification in an engineering discipline with a global perspective on production processes

* Post-graduate or professional qualification, such as chartered engineer status, is highly desirable

* Lean training is advantageous but not mandatory

* Proven experience in leading global engineering functions, implementing strategies, and adhering to technical governance

* Expertise in defining and ensuring robust and effective management systems, governance, standards, and processes

* Track record of providing engineering delivery and technical leadership, along with managing function budgets

* Ability to champion continuous improvement, demonstrating experience in driving a lean culture and optimizing performance

* Demonstrated experience in a senior leadership role for engineering within an international business, showcasing strong business and commercial acumen.
