Overview
Aramco is seeking an expert for the Knowledge Management (KM) Group within its Training & Development organization. The KM Group partners with Knowledge Champions, who are embedded throughout company departments, to perform demographic analysis and identify critical skills in order to maintain and preserve knowledge and develop the resources required to train the next of employees.
The Head of Knowledge Managment role will help guide this critical function as it transforms to meet the challenges of a dynamically changing workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Department Management in all planning, budget, administrative and staff-related activities, initiatives and programs for the Knowledge Management Group.
- Contribute to and support learning and educational initiatives related to Knowledge Transfer within departmental processes, helping to identify and support department KT champions.
- Ensure business continuity by promoting knowledge sharing through the organization's business processes and systems by, strengthening links between knowledge transfer and the information systems, to facilitate seamless exchange of information.
- Track and report upon Knowledge Transfer KPIs.
- Serve as primary point of contact for all program-related reporting outputs, deliverables, and communications. Present findings and data to the subject department’s leadership team.
- Support development of knowledge-based products that strengthen the Program’s overall performance, including: best practices, lessons learned, success stories and guides/templates/toolkits.
- Participate in and direct KM team in conducting research and needs analysis and selecting appropriate learning approaches, such as: skills audit, knowledge mapping, competency development, training delivery, workplace solutions, knowledge gap analysis, and prepare recommendations and solutions to address identified gaps.
- Provide consultation to management and partners on proposed training programs and policy changes.
- Complete transformation design project, gain management approval, pilot the new program, and implement once the concept is proven.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Knowledge Management, Program Management, Information Management, Communications or related fields; prefer a Masters in Knowledge Management and/or relevant Knowledge Management certifications.
- At least five years of experience as a KM practitioner or consultant utilizing knowledge building, knowledge sharing, and knowledge management skills to promote a sharing and learning culture.
- Experience in the Oil & Gas, Energy, Engineering and/or Manufacturing industries, with both industrial and professional workforces.
- Proven successful background in managing KM KT programs for internal stakeholders.
- Proven ability to act as a catalyst for change, and as a champion for continuous improvement.
- Experience successfully leading and coaching staff, preferably in multi-cultural environment.
