Head of Building Management (official job title)

Boden Group have partnered with a fascinating venue in London to help source a Head of Building Management to lead the day-to-day facilities management operations at a prominent event space.

As the deputy to the Venue Operations Director, you'll oversee hard and soft services, utilities, security, and health & safety of this single site. You'll also manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality. The role requires strong hard services understanding and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead FM operations, compliance, and health & safety
• Manage and develop direct reports
• Oversee capital refurbishment projects and small works
• Liaise with service partners to ensure high standards
• Lead procurement, sustainability planning, and emergency/business continuity plans
• Manage energy usage and supplier relations

Requirements:

• Technical qualification in engineering, electrical, or related hard services desirable
• Recent FM leadership experience in a corporate, hospitality, events, or public sector setting
• Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Project Management and CDM experience
• Recognized UK Health and Safety qualification (NEBOSH or IOSH)

Desirable:

• Public sector contract and procurement experience
• Budget and finance skills
• Security contract experience
• CAFM and BMS experience
