Salary: £80,000 - £85,000 + car allowance + competitive package

Location: UK Remote with travel (Presence in North of England preferable)

A global leader in technological and professional services is seeking an experienced Head of Category Management to lead procurement operations within the UK’s Public Sector division, including the NHS, healthcare, blue-light services, and local government. This is a brand-new role, where the Head of Category Management will lead a team responsible for delivering procurement excellence across a vast public sector portfolio. This role is central to the organisation’s growth strategy, overseeing contract management, driving innovation, and ensuring value-for-money solutions for key stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping category management strategy, enhancing supplier relationships, and delivering value through efficient procurement practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop category teams, driving innovation and improving procurement outcomes.
• Foster a positive team culture, motivating cross-functional teams to achieve strategic goals.
• Oversee the implementation of sourcing and contract management strategies to ensure competitive, value-driven procurement.
• Act as a key member of the Procurement Leadership Team, contributing to overall business objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to support collaboration and alignment.

Key experience
