Head of Structural Engineering
My client, a principal contractor to the MOD is going through the biggest growth period in their history. As a result, they are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to Head up the Structural Engineering department. This is an incredible opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer to take an autonomous role, building a team of Structural Engineer and BIM professionals
Package:
- Salary £60,000 - £70,000 which can be negotiated for the right person

Qualifications:
- B.Eng, M.Eng Structural or Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Charted Engineer
- Proven experience in structural engineering and project management
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Proficiency in structural engineering software and tools
- A portfolio of successful structural engineering projects
Key Responsibilities:
- Structural Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of structural engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to ensure the successful completion of projects
- Strategic Direction: Develop and implement the strategic vision for structural engineering, aligning it with the overall goals of the company
- Project Oversight: Oversee all structural engineering projects, ensuring they meet industry standards, safety requirements, budget constraints, and timelines
- Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and integrate innovative solutions into structural designs
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, project managers, and contractors, to deliver integrated and coordinated structural solutions
- Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of structural design and engineering
- Client Engagement: Act as a primary point of contact for clients, understanding their needs, and translating them into effective structural solutions
