JOB DESCRIPTION
As the Head of Supply Chain you will,
- Lead and develop the supply chain team, reviewing structure, job roles and descriptions, and up-skilling where required.
- Build relationships with the Sales, Product Development and Marketing teams to understand business challenges, and develop processes and systems to optimise efficiency, on-time product and drive great customer service.
- Alongside the Product Development team, work with suppliers to understand capacity, and lead times, that supports an optimised inventory level, without affecting customer service.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives within the supply chain, this could include logistics routes, freight costs, external warehousing, cost of import / export.... seek to thoughtfully refine processes and systems to uncover inefficiencies and deliver more profitability.
- Contribute to company strategy, as a key member of the senior leadership team.
- Manage Far East inbound shipments, container planning.
- Manage relationship with German 3rd party fulfilment centre in Germany.
- Manage a sizeable team including, QA & shipping, two warehouses including d2c and B2B.
YOUR PROFILE
- Have previously held a senior supply chain role.
- Have experience with supply chain systems.
- Have 3-4 years experience in Far East import and logistics issues.
- Have worked for a consumer product distributor / manufacturer / importer.
- Proven leadership experience in a similar role, being able to demonstrate performance management and increased engagement.
- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills, showing advanced stock / inventory management.
- Track record in managing supply, demand, and warehouse teams.
THE ROLE
• Full time role, permanent
• Hybrid role, partly based at our Chesham, Buckinghamshire
• Salary 60-65k
