Health and Safety Advisor

Roles and responsibilities

• AnAdvisor - Safety, Health & Environment(SHE) is a professional responsible for advising andsupporting the implementation of safety, health, and environmentalpolicies and practices within an organization. The role involvesensuring that the company complies with local and internationalsafety regulations, minimizes risks, and creates a safe and healthywork environment. This can include working in industries such asconstruction, manufacturing, energy, and manymore.

• Under direct supervision,performs basic and routine duties in a wide range of environmental,health and safety disciplines to achieve compliance with theES&H standards along with federal and state regulatoryrequirements.
• Assists in the development,implementation and maintenance of safety and health programs,systems and procedures.
• Assists in monitoringhazards and diseases that could be present in the workarea.
• Works with others to investigateaccidents, injuries and complaints concerning hazards in theworkplace.
• Participates in recommendingimprovement in processes, design, procedures and equipment tominimize hazards.
• Participates in employeetraining, emergency preparedness and assures the quality ofprograms.

Qualifications

MinimumRequirement: 10 Years experience & AldarApproval

Qualification: Relevant degree ordiploma

2. Health andWellbeing

• WorkplaceHealth Programs: Promoting and implementing healthand wellness programs that support employees' physical andmental health, including ergonomic practices, stress management,and promoting work-lifebalance.
• Occupational HealthSurveillance: Ensuring that employees undergoregular health screenings and monitoring to identify health risksrelated to their jobfunctions.
• Compliance with HealthRegulations: Ensuring compliance with healthregulations related to workplace illnesses, air quality, noiselevels, and sanitation.

3.EnvironmentalManagement

• EnvironmentalImpact Assessments: Identifying and evaluating theenvironmental impact of the company's operations, includingwaste management, emissions, and resourceuse.
• SustainabilityInitiatives: Developing and implementing strategiesto reduce the environmental footprint of the company, such asenergy-saving measures, waste reduction, and sustainablepractices.
• Compliance withEnvironmental Laws: Ensuring compliance with local,national, and international environmental laws and regulations,including managing environmental permits, licenses, and reportingrequirements.

4.Training andAwareness

• SafetyTraining: Organizing and delivering safety trainingprograms for employees at all levels, ensuring they understandcompany safety protocols, emergency procedures, and how to handlehazardous materials or dangerousequipment.
• Health andEnvironmental Training: Providing training on topicssuch as ergonomics, first aid, mental health awareness, andenvironmentalsustainability.
• Promoting SafetyCulture: Fostering a strong safety culture acrossthe organization by promoting the importance of safety, health, andenvironmental responsibility at alllevels.
