Health and Safety Manager - required to join a leading Civil Engineering Contractor in West London, The Health and Safety Manager will be the working on Groundworks and RC projects. The Health and Safety Manager will ensure delivery of various projects through project and programme strategy, adding value through positive intervention, challenging behaviour, influencing decision making and encouraging innovation.Health and Safety Manager Position OverviewCompile the compilation of Construction Phase Plans, Pre-Construction Information, Risk Assessments and Method StatementsAdvising on changes to working practices to ensure they are safe and comply with legislationDeveloping and recommending safety improvement initiativesCreation of a framework for the groupManagement of investigation into incidents / accidents and maintenance of appropriate records as and when requiredMaintaining knowledge of all the Health and Safety Executive legislation and any developments that affect the industryCarry out planned and ad-hoc site inspections and AuditsEnsure a safe workplace environment without risk to healthStaff training in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work,Complete new starter inductions within two weeks of new personnel joining the business/site, to ensure all safety procedures are briefed outHealth and Safety Manager Position RequirementsNEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalentNEBOSH Diploma or equivalent degree level qualification (Advantageous)TechIOSH or GradIOSH MembershipDetailed understanding of Health and Safety legislation, regulations, ACOP's and guidance.5 years 'Safety Professional' experienceExperience of near miss reporting and ISO5 Years Construction Experience, including site visitsCivil Engineering / Groundworks / RC Frame experience is advantageousAbility to work under pressure with good time Management skillsHealth and Safety Manager Position RemunerationSalary up to £60kMonday - FridayCompany VanMileage Paid28 days holiday including bank holidaysBennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
