ResponsibilitiesEstablish and manage a proactive EHS cultureDemonstrate professional maturity and ability to act as a change leader by influencing all levels of the organization to drive continuous improvement in EHS performanceExercise a leadership, coordination, and communication role with plant leadership to drive continuous EHS improvement across the plantBe a subject matter expert in safety and environmental regulations as well as have GEHSMS compliance experienceBe highly skilled at implementing processes that will lead to sustained EHS performance improvementsEnsure compliance with GEHSMS policies, procedures and local regulationsManage local EHS budgetLead the development and implementation of the EHS Annual Operating Plans and EHS Action Plans for the plantDevelop, implement, execute and manage strategies to prevent workplace injuries, environmental incidentsConduct EHS activities such as training/auditing/assessing to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements and GEHSMS standardsPerform risk assessments and assist in the implementation of effective physical and/or behavioral control measures. Recognize and verify the effectiveness of in-place control measuresIdentify unsafe equipment operation and conditions while demonstrating knowledge of appropriate corrective action for unsafe conditions or equipment useComplete root cause analyses and develop corrective action plans to address root basic causes and management system weak-spots through the use of GEHSMS cause analysis techniquesBe a key contact for global online data tracking and reporting system (myEHS), enter related data into the system and monitor sectoral KPIs from the systemLead Multi-Site Certification (MSC) GEHSMS audits and regulatory auditsProvide technical and process knowledge for wastewater treatment and waste management QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Environmetal Engineering.Effective communication and interpersonal skills and presence in meetings and training environmentsAbility to work collaboratively with colleagues to create a results-driven, team-oriented environmentAbility to handle multiple priorities and meet critical deadlinesHSE management experience in FMCG manufacturing environmentAt least C Class Safety Specialist Certificate (B Class is preferred)Environment Officer Certificate from Ministry of Environment is an asset
