The Responsibilities Of The Health & Safety Manager Encompass

  • Evaluating all work procedures to ensure compliance with industry safety standards.
  • Conducting safety risk assessments before commencing new projects.
  • Ensuring the safe installation of equipment and overseeing external contractors on-site.
  • Managing emergency procedures and ensuring their readiness for potential incidents.
  • Compiling and submitting reports on accidents and other safety breaches.
  • Conducting in-house training sessions to promote health and safety awareness.
  • Scheduling inspections as necessary.
  • Keeping abreast of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Creating and maintaining health and safety policies and monitoring systems.
  • Ensuring the company adheres to health and safety legislation.
  • Cultivating a culture of heightened health and safety awareness within the organisation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Preferred: A BSc/BA in safety management or a relevant field.
  • Possession of a valid qualification in occupational health and safety.
  • Previous experience in construction site management, including a solid grasp of CDM 2015.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in generating reports and crafting pertinent policies.
  • Strong acumen in data analysis and risk assessment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and keen observational skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Willingness to travel domestically.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in Automation projects.

Compensation And Benefits

  • An annual salary in the range of £35,000 to £40,000.
