Health & Safety Manager

A design and manufacture company based near Maldon are looking for a Health, Safety, Quality, Environmental (HSQE) and Wellbeing Manager to join their team on a part time basis. Candidates will need to have previous experience in this field and a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.



Duties



Maintain HSQE policies and procedures in line with legal and regulatory requirements.

Conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.

Oversee quality and environmental management systems, ensuring compliance with ISO standards (9001, 14001).

Assist in carrying out Achilles audits.

Assist in onboarding new team members.

Engage with regulatory bodies.

Maintain Fleet Operation Recognition Scheme

Promote a positive HSQE culture

Ensure company is up to date on legislative changes and best practices.



Skills & Experience



NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent in Health and Safety.

Membership of IOSH at Certified level (Cert IOSH).

Experience in a similar role.

Strong knowledge of HSQE legislation

Experience managing ISO systems.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Experience in conducting internal and external audits. (Lead Auditor Trained)

Knowledge of sustainability, environmental, social and governance issues.

Instructional qualification in Health and Safety-related training.
