Kilkenny ResponsibilitiesCommitted to embedding a best practice safety culture that is aligned to the organisational needsAnticipate, recognise, evaluate and control workplace hazards with all key stakeholdersEnsure organisational safety culture has the capacity to make things go rightRelentless in addressing safety hazards in an efficient and effective mannerBuild close working relationships with all key stakeholders by ensuring a just safety cultureResolute in promoting ‘Zero Harm’ as an espoused organisational safety valueChampion an interdependent organisational safety cultureEnable achievement of annual Key Performance Indicators on safetyDeliver targeted safety induction onboarding for all new employeesProactively engage, challenge and influence colleagues to drive continuous safety improvementPromote safety competency at all levels by targeted learning interventionsEnsure emergency preparedness and response continuously meets the needs of the organisationBuild highest standard of safety practices for contractors and visitors on siteFacilitate timely accident and incident investigations with key stakeholders and ensure lessons learned are acted uponConduct audits/inspections as per ISO certification and ensure ongoing complianceDeputise for Safety Manager as requiredSupport site Health and Safety committeesRequirementsDegree in Safety or Professional Diploma in Safety desired and or a desire to obtain the required qualificationsChartered Member of IOSH or working towards Chartered StatusMinimum of 3 years’ experience of having direct or indirect responsibility for health and safety within a manufacturing environmentPractical experience with ISO standardCompetency to design and deliver safety training at all levels within an organisationTheoretical and practical experience of supporting safe behaviour programmesMotivated to work in a high performing organisation To apply please send CV to
