Under minimal supervision, the Class B or higher Technician is responsible for disassembling heavy equipment, inspection of parts, and maintaining the company's heavy equipment and/or components in a professional manner. 

Pay rate:  $25.00 - $45.00 per hour

Pay rate is dependent upon education & experience. 

Functions:

• Has a clean driving record, CDL may be required depending on position

• Takes repair notes and turns in daily

• Works independently

• Communicates with Equipment Manager and Operations Manager 

• Cleans, repairs, reconditions, and maintains equipment and components

• Prepares, inspects, and operates machines to minimize downtime

• Removes, disassembles, assembles, and installs components and parts

• Inform what parts are needed for correct repairs

• Services and maintains equipment sold and/or owned by the company

• Tests measures, and adjusts engine and machine systems and components

• Diagnoses and troubleshoots machine and engine malfunctions and failures

• Uses safe working practices

• Maintains a clean and organized work area

• Makes recommendations as to repairs

• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Required Education and Experience:

• 2 years’ experience in heavy equipment, engine.

Physical Demands & Competencies:

• Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands & hearing

• Squatting/Kneeling

• Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, etc.

• Heavy work that includes carrying, lifting and/or moving objects up to 100 pounds or more

• Data Entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication & math skills

• Safety & Product Knowledge

• Basic ability to search for and enter data into a computer

• Ability to type daily notes
