Job Description:

As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing heavy equipment used in construction, mining, and other industrial applications. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring the reliability and performance of our machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on a variety of heavy equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacements.
• Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and perform preventative maintenance.
• Repair or replace damaged or worn parts, including engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to accurately pinpoint issues.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with other mechanics and team members to efficiently complete tasks.
• Provide excellent service and support to equipment operators and other personnel.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; technical certification in heavy equipment maintenance is .
• Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and maintenance software.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy parts and tools.
• Capability to work in various positions, including standing, kneeling, and lying down.
• Willingness to work in different environments, such as outdoors or in a workshop.
