Polar Field Services, Inc. is Seeking a Seasoned Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Maintenance Tech for an Arctic Adventure

Are you ready to embark on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure? Join our team at Polar Field Services and experience the thrill of working in the remote and rugged Arctic landscape. We're seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our research station in Greenland.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of motorized equipment, including snowmobiles, power equipment, and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Utilizing computerized diagnostic software to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Handling minor electrical, plumbing, and heating repairs.
• Working collaboratively with a team of dedicated professionals in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience repairing and maintaining tracked heavy-duty equipment
• 5+ years of experience repairing and maintaining facilities, including welding and fabrication experience
• Proficiency with diagnostic software, tools, and techniques
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to drive a truck, snowmobile, and other polar vehicles
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing for long periods of time, working in confined spaces, and enduring extreme temperatures
• Valid US passport and driver's license
