Heavy Equipment Technician (Heavy Duty Mechanic)

We have offices located in Mannville & Nisku, AB - looking after all three of our divisions: Vac & Water, Rentals, and Heavy Equipment. As a Heavy Equipment Technician you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining Bulldog’s fleet of equipment in our Nisku or Mannville location.Our Manville location which is approx. 2 hours east of Edmonton & approx. 40 minutes east of Vegreville has the opportunity to provide accommodations with shift work flexibility. Responsibilities: Lubricate, service, diagnose, repair, assemble and maintain equipment and perform other routine maintenance workEnsure repairs and maintenance follow all provincial and federal transportation safety regulations and guidelinesFollow the safety program, including all policies, procedures and practicesComplete work orders upon completion of each jobTrain operators to maintain vehicles while in the fieldProvide field service calls when requiredEnsure the shop is maintained and clean Qualification and Competencies: 2-3 years industry experienceRegistered HET Apprentice or Journeyperson in Alberta (or province transferrable) is required Safe driving skills; driver’s abstract will be requestedExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalSkilled in problem-solving techniques Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Test What we Offer: Competitive wages based on your experience and qualificationsAnnual Boot & Tool AllowancePaid On-Call PremiumFlexible shiftsHealth & Dental BenefitsHealthcare Spending AccountOpportunities for advancement
