With so much opportunity, what is your career path? ABOUT THIS ROLE As a JJ’s Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Maintenance Coordinator, you will support our depot and operations in both Mareeba and Cairns. Your primary role will be, but not excluded to overseeing the day to day maintenance of a small fleet trucks, ensuring they comply within the legislation of the NHVAS. The position, while predominantly “hands on” will have a high level of administration duties. We are an essential services industry, offering stability to employees and reliability to our customers. You will enjoy Monday to Friday hours, no weekend work! We will work with you to ensure your work/life balance RESPONSIBILITIES Ensuring the fleet is maintained to and in compliance with Company Fleet Management Standards, with an emphasis on safety Compliance with the Company’s Integrated Management System Maintaining contact with regional and national fleet management High level of interaction with contractors and suppliers Coordination and scheduling of maintenance requirements Management of records, planning tasks and forecasts General maintenance support including breakdowns, repairs, technical support and paperwork ABOUT YOU Trade qualified - heavy commercial vehicles Experience in vehicle / fleet maintenance Good product knowledge and a sound understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems Current HR and Forklift licence Intermediate experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Able to successfully satisfy a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol testing Commit to JJ’s Waste values and be willing to embrace workplace diversity Be dedicated to achieving high standards of safety compliance Be subject to a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol testing Able to provide your last 5 years’ traffic history at interview stage BENEFITS We appreciate there is more to life than work, we provide a variety of work options to ensure the job gets done; with competitive remuneration and a range of benefits, regardless of your role or location including: The stability of a national, Australian family owned and operated business with over 90 years’ experience Work/life balance - No Weekend Work!
