These opportunities cover a broad range of academic and engineering disciplines in many aspects of:imagingopticslasersremote sensingmaterialsSpecifically, this assignment involves on-going high energy laser research programs and successful candidates will be expected to support research and laboratory experiments involving optical components, data collection, analysis, and modeling.Rising seniors and graduate students studying Optics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related fields are encouraged to apply. Experience with the following is preferred hands-on optical design or laser applicationsoptical components including lasers, lenses, mirrors, coatings, optical detectors, CCD cameras, as well as opto-mechanical accessories including lens and mirror mountsdata acquisition hardware and software including Labview and MatlabThe successful candidate will work up to 20 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters and 40 hours per week over the summer. This is a paid internship located at Applied Research Lab’s (ARL) Electro-Optics Center located in Freeport, PA; relocation and housing are not provided. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation. You must be a U.S. citizen to apply.
