Role: Infotainment HMI engineer

Site Location: Cranfield
\n
Rate: Up to £30.02 per hour PAYE
\n
Duration: 12-month contract
\n
Support purchasing team to provide effective procurement and quality function. Support the procurement of all parts required for the build of various complex systems, in a low volume manufacturing environment. Support the procurement and goods-in functions.

Key Activities
\n
- \n
- To support the Electrical & Electronic (EE) Test team with: - Vehicle function, performance, reliability and regulation validation of infotainment, display, and/ or parking systems to company and regulatory requirement standards.
- Creation and management of test methods and procedures.
- Creation and management of test planning including change/ variance impact analysis and resource management.
- Result analysis, judgement, and reporting. (Cross function and upper management).
- Concern investigation, root cause analysis and countermeasure recommendation to design, aftermarket, and manufacturing departments.
- Field investigation support on occasion
- Reporting and supporting suppliers.

- Secure the quality of electrical systems to company standards
- Complete responsible validation within project milestones

Qualifications and Requirements
\n
- \n
- Have relevant experience in automotive electrical and electronic system development, completing a minimum of two vehicle developments, or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience.
- Have good written and verbal communication
- Be able to travel abroad, typically a few days to 2 weeks, but on rare occasions travel may be long distance and for up to 10 weeks and/or at short notice.
- Competent with PC applications. Including Microsoft excel and project.
- Self-motivating and self-managing. Pro-active. Positive. Energetic personality and flexible regarding working practice and working hours.
- Ability to prioritise and multitask between multiple projects simultaneously
