Maintenance Supervisor

Maintenance Supervisor directs and organizes tasks related to the maintenance of common areas within the residential development of Halifax Plantation. Position also requires maintenance of building and equipment associated with the job.

Maintenance Supervisor must have skills to train workers and leadership skills to manage the team.

Job requirements include but not limited to the following

•        Hires and manages maintenance workers

•        Supervises maintenance workers and outside contractors

•        Organizes and leads maintenance training

•        Set schedules and assignments

•        Orders tools, supplies, and equipment

•        Responds to maintenance requests

•        Evaluates work sites to determine work needed

•        Responsible for safety of workers and equipment on site

Qualifications and skills required

•        Experience in irrigation maintenance and repair

•        Experience in operating machinery and equipment such as Cat Telehandler 642 and tractor with bush hog attachment

•        Knowledge of cement forming and finishing with respect to sidewalk maintenance and repair

•        Experience with chainsaw, woodchipper and stump grinder

•        Knowledge of tree trimming

•        Basic electrical knowledge with respect to lights and irrigation pumps

•        Landscape experience with knowledge of use of edger, weed whacker and blower

•        Pressure washing experience with machine operation and repair

•        Be available for hurricane clean up and emergency calls

Work hours are Monday and Wednesday  6:30 am – 3:30 pm

                          Tuesday and Thursday     6:30 am – 3:00 pm

                          Fridays                             6:30 am – 11:30 am

Paid time off accumulates 3 months after start date

Seven paid Holidays

Salary to be determined by experience
