We are looking for an experienced HSE Advisor to support the construction of a hyperscale data centre. You will work closely with the site team and subcontractors to ensure a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible project environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily safety inspections and site audits.
- Identify hazards and risks, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Deliver site inductions and regular safety briefings to workers.
- Provide training on specific safety topics (e.g., working at height, manual handling, fire safety).
- Investigate accidents and near misses; ensure proper documentation and corrective actions.
- Support incident reporting and tracking.
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Review and approve work permits (e.g., hot work, confined space).
- Maintain safety documentation and risk assessments.
- Oversee waste management and pollution prevention practices.
- Monitor environmental impact and ensure compliance with environmental standards.
- Prepare and submit regular safety reports to project management.
Track safety performance and assist in improving HSE processes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-5 years in an HSE role, preferably in large construction or infrastructure projects.
- Experience working with subcontractors on complex construction sites.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to conduct audits and risk assessments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
