HSE Advisor

We are looking for an experienced HSE Advisor to support the construction of a hyperscale data centre. You will work closely with the site team and subcontractors to ensure a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible project environment.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily safety inspections and site audits.
  • Identify hazards and risks, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
  • Monitor subcontractor compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Deliver site inductions and regular safety briefings to workers.
  • Provide training on specific safety topics (e.g., working at height, manual handling, fire safety).
  • Investigate accidents and near misses; ensure proper documentation and corrective actions.
  • ​​​​​Support incident reporting and tracking.
  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Review and approve work permits (e.g., hot work, confined space).
  • Maintain safety documentation and risk assessments.
  • Oversee waste management and pollution prevention practices.
  • ​​​​​​​Monitor environmental impact and ensure compliance with environmental standards.
  • Prepare and submit regular safety reports to project management.

Track safety performance and assist in improving HSE processes.



Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-5 years in an HSE role, preferably in large construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience working with subcontractors on complex construction sites.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to conduct audits and risk assessments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Working Conditions:

  • 12 month contract
  • Full-time, on-site position.
  • Occasional extended hours, depending on project demands.
  • Ability to work in outdoor and construction site environments.
