HSE & Fleet Administrator
Enable Infrastructure are looking for a talented HSE & Fleet Administrator to join our team in London. This is an exciting time to join the business during a time of transition into new markets including power, battery storage, drainage and water sector led schemes in addition to our current rail offering.
Being part of an SME will enable you to gain full exposure to how a construction business operates interfacing with our Hire teams, HSQE, procurement, delivery, resourcing, and other departments. Training development is bespoke, tailoring it to your own development plans.
This role will form part of the HSQE team offering to support ot our Hire & fleet teams. As the HSE and Fleet Administrator, you will provide vital support in managing the company’s vehicle fleet, health, safety, and environmental compliance, personnel fatigue management, and our ongoing FORS Silver accreditation. Your role is essential in promoting safety, operational efficiency, and wellbeing across the business, while embedding a culture of proactive ownership, continuous improvement, and compliance.
Key responsibilities
* Maintain accurate records for fleet vehicles including tax, MOTs, insurance, service schedules, and telematics data.
* Administer driver licence checks, vehicle inductions, and driver training compliance.
* Manage and update documentation, evidence, and tracking systems that support our ongoing FORS Silver accreditation, ensuring audit readiness.
* Support the implementation and monitoring of Enable’s Fatigue Management Policy, including working hours and travel planning compliance.
* Contribute to the development and refinement of systems to improve HSE reporting, fleet tracking, and fatigue monitoring.
* Identify gaps or opportunities in our FORS Silver compliance processes and work with internal teams to resolve them.
* Coordinate servicing, repairs, and maintenance of vehicles to minimise downtime and ensure roadworthiness.
* Track vehicle usage, fuel consumption, maintenance schedules, and driver hours to support cost-effective fleet management.
* Manage compliance calendars and ensure all fleet and HSE-related deadlines, audits, and assessments are met on time.
* Liaise with site leads, HSE advisors, drivers, and suppliers to support compliance and maintain fleet efficiency.
* Work with the Procurement and HR teams on vehicle allocation, onboarding, and equipment returns.
* Support cross-departmental collaboration on initiatives relating to FORS, fatigue management, and safety awareness
Experience
Experience in fleet administration, HSE support, or coordination in a logistics, construction, or engineering environment.
Familiarity with the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS), particularly Silver-level requirements, is desirable.
Qualifications
GCSEs or equivalent required; additional education in Business Administration, HSE, or Transport Management is desirable.
IOSH Working Safely or similar health & safety qualification is beneficial.
FORS Practitioner training or willingness to work towards it is an advantage.
Technical Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience using fleet or HSE management software is .
Strong record-keeping and document control skills.
Ability to manage and maintain evidence for compliance schemes such as FORS Silver.
Additional Skills
Highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills to liaise across all levels.
Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to prioritise tasks and solve problems efficiently.
Understanding of fatigue risk in operational workforces and a commitment to promoting employee wellbeing.
