As Health, Safety and Environmental Leader, you will play a key and integral role in advancing HSE Culture, Awareness, Compliance, Risk reduction and performance, overarching responsibilities at our Lufkin, TX facility.

As a HSE Leader, you will be responsible for:

  • Working at manufacturing site and provide day-to-day HSE support.
  • Developing new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations.
  • Leading analytical and designing activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods.
  • Prepare and communicate HSE metrics and dashboards.
  • Implement HSE programs, procedures, and initiatives to ensure compliance related to specific disciplines.
  • Update and maintain system of record data.
  • Provide HSE resources/support for new product or services.
  • Apply all applicable regulation to site’s activities.
  • Experience with Management of Change Programs
  • Assist in prompt safety observations closure and issues resolution.
  • Participate and support business wide initiatives and program.
  • Support the Operation Team with ensuring the full implementation and consistent execution of the Baker Hughes (HSE) programs and ensure compliance all applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate the closure of all findings and observations from audits and inspections.
  • Participate on accident investigation.
  • Conduct and coordinate internal HSE inspections (i.e., hazardous waste areas, housekeeping, safety equipment, etc.)
  • Participate as a member of the site HAZMAT Team
  • Conduct respiratory fit-testing and associated recordkeeping.
  • Support the random Drug test Program.
  • Be part of the emission reduction effort, by coordinating and support Carbon Out projects
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering in the identification of safe protection to employees (e.g. Machine guarding, pressure testing)
  • Maintain HSE equipment and associated documentation requirements (e.g. Training records, OSHA Logs, waste manifests, etc.)


Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Minimum 4 years bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college - Minimum of 3 years of related HSE experience in industry or manufacturing
  • Relevant additional experience in manufacturing environment
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of HSE-related laws and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: positive influencing skills in a team environment  
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and responsibilities with competing priorities Self-starter with ability to prioritize and balance multiple ongoing task.
