Human Resources Advisor

What you’ll do: Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the HR Advisor is responsible for: Demonstrating day to day behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen our Co-op’s vision, mission, values, brand and focus on safety; Talent acquisition functions including attracting, selecting, and developing qualified candidates to meet the organization’s staffing needs and enhance overall employee performance. Leading acquisition initiatives including job analysis, posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing and completion of the selection and onboarding process. Developing training program content to fill skill gaps and align with organizational goals. Assisting with development of training plans, and assist with the evaluation of development programs. Supporting all other responsibilities of the HR Department including health & safety, payroll and benefits administration. Who you are:You are looking for an opportunity to work in retail and: Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent level of post-secondary education, preference will be given to candidates who have or are working toward the CHRP accreditation; 3-4 years of office experience; preference will be given to experience in a Human Resources function; Exceptional communication (verbal and written), listening and interpersonal skills; Proficient in technology including Microsoft Office Suite, and Windows; Exceptional organizational skills including managing time, multiple tasks, and accurate documentation; You’re action oriented, customer focused and work well with other Team Members; You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do; You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
