Human Resources Assistant
Provide the initial welcome to applicants, employees, and the public; respond to questions and provide general information; assist with processing new applicants; give clerical assistance when needed for the efficient operation of Human Resources. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD. Qualifications Education/Certification/Licensure High school diploma or GED Special Knowledge/Skills Effective communication, interpersonal and public relations skillsBilingual preferredProficient computer and typing skillsKnowledge of general office procedures and equipmentAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsAbility to maintain confidentiality Experience Minimum of one-year successful clerical experience Major Responsibilities and Duties Greet and direct all visitors coming to Human Resources and the Business Office.Respond to inquiries and assist visitors, employees, and applicants as needed.Receive and direct incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff.Receive and process all applications, record information, references, and other application materials.Respond to requests for verbal verifications of employment.Transcribe meeting notes for department administrators.Assist Human Resources Director with organization of recruitment materials for job fairs.Assist Substitute Coordinator with scheduling and follow through of the application process, including phone calls, emails and maintaining electronic documents.Assist Certification Officer with completion of documents, including but not limited to loan forgiveness forms, service records, upload of certificates and monthly certification renewals.Assist with department mailings, including but not limited to preparation of materials, preparing labels, stuffing envelopes, mailing and distribution of incoming mail.Provide clerical support when needed in human resources department.Process all name and address changes.Maintain confidentiality at all times.Relieve CCISD receptionist desk as needed.Update and distribute department reoccurring task calendar.Ensure that alternate coverage at desk is trained.Travel to collect materials and supplies, visit CCISD facilities, and attend professional learning as directed.Exhibit CCISD Core Values of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.Stay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality professional learning opportunities for personal growth.Research district policy, precedent, and current practices prior to taking action.Participate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals.Demonstrates proficient levels of technology applications.Participates fully in drills and safety exercises to provide for the safety and overall emotional wellbeing of others.Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
