Location: Worcester, MA - Spectrum's Corporate Administrative Office Schedule: 40 hours, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm Pay Rate: $20.00/hr The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for providing support to the Chief Human Resources Officer regarding correspondence, presentations, files, and preparation of meetings. The Human Resources Assistant will provide oversight and maintenance of confidential personnel records, special projects, administrative functions and support the Human Resources Department. The Human Resources Assistant is also responsible for representing the organization while promoting a positive image of Spectrum’s services in the communities and environments in which Spectrum operates. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for managing new hire personnel records. Provides oversight and maintenance of confidential personnel records. Assists in maintaining records of insurance coverage, retirement plan and personnel transactions such as new hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews and terminations. Types correspondence, memos, reports and other documents which are often confidential in nature. Responsible for company-wide audits of personnel records. Responsible for employment verifications. Responsible for filing the first report of injury to the Worker’s Compensation carrier. Functions as a liaison between Corporate Human Resources and all Spectrum sites. Provides direction to Program Management and Human Resource liaisons country-wide Assumes leadership and oversees special projects as assigned. Demonstrates the ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities and completes duties in the allotted time. Consistently arrives for work on time and adheres to attendance policies. Demonstrates respect for supervisors, co-workers, clients, and others. Answers corporate phone calls as directed. Performs all other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma/GED required, associate degree or higher preferred 3-5 years’ experience in human resources or related field preferred Must be proficient with Microsoft office products Must be knowledgeable in administrative duties and use of equipment related to administrative functions Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills; excellent attention to detail and ability to handle complex and confidential information Ability to make independent administrative decisions Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with all levels of personnel, both within and outside the company.BENEFITS:401k with company matchHealth/dental/vision/life/disability insurancestuition reimbursementnation-wide savings on entertainment/travel paid time off*CA *CB
