Human Resource Assistant will assist in maintaining and enhancing the organization's human resource department by planning, organizing and controlling all activities of the department. The Human Resource Assistant will participate in developing department goals, objectives and systems. Human Resource Assistant will be responsible for various administrative tasks i.e... post job ads and vacancies, help with the recruitment and selection of staff, write job descriptions as necessary, assist with new hire paperwork and complete background and reference checks. The Human Resource Assistant will serve as the point person for all new hire employees' inquires, extends job offers, conducts new-employee orientations, monitors career-path program and employee relations counseling. The Human Resource Assistant will also conduct employee surveys and assist in termination meetings and exit interviews. The Human Resource Assistant will maintain employee file and update employee information(as needed) and undertake administrative duties necessary to fulfill compliance tasks. The Human Resource Assistant will develop and maintain affirmative action program; files EEO-1 annually; maintain other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations. The Human Resource Assistant will participate in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings as assigned. The Human Resource Assistant will perform other assigned duties to ensure that the agency is in compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree and three years of human resource experience, or five years of experience in the HR related field.
- Demonstrated experience in assessing the operations of treatment services using a variety of auditing tools.
- Experience in delivery and administration of mental health care systems.
- Demonstrated effective decision making skills in treatment service setting.
- Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
