POSITION: Human Resources Business Partner:
The Human Resources Business Partner is a key position, directly impacting the business by providing great talent, engaging them, creating development opportunities to deliver the desired business results and professional development for Applied Control employees. This position handles the day-to-day human resources functions for a designated group of employees. This role is also responsible for a significant amount of recruiting, pre-employment, and onboarding of new employees.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Leads recruitment of great talent to grow the business. Is responsible for developing and deploying sourcing and posting strategies to obtain the desired candidate pools, source, screen, interview, and hire employees. Manages pre-employment activities.
· Partners with managers to put onboarding and assimilation plans in place for new talent coming into the business.
- Facilitates strong communication between employees and management.
- Guides managers and employees on problem solving, conflict resolution, regulatory compliance, and litigation avoidance.
- May addresses employee relations matters, conduct investigations when necessary.
- Coaches, counsels, and guides employees and managers.
- Partners with managers in developing and executing employee disciplinary actions.
- Works with business to develop and manage career pathing opportunities for employee growth.
- Reviews and makes recommendations to executive management for improvement of the organization’s HR programs, policies, procedures, and practices.
- Maintains responsibility for organizational compliance with federal and state legislation pertaining to all employee matters.
· Engages with managers in promotional reviews, job changes and other daily people management activities.
· Is responsible for workforce planning and support related to benefits matters, managing employee leaves and workers compensation cases. Is an active participant in the open enrollment process to assist employees and get changes processed in an expeditious fashion.
· Is actively present and engaged with the assigned client group. This requires a significant time commitment to being present, developing rapport and understanding the jobs and functions.
· Handles routine HRIS entry and record management work.
· May be asked to develop and/or deliver training curriculum and content.
· Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
· BA/BS degree preferred but able to substitute applicable work experience. Prefer degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline.
· 3+ years of human resources experience preferred, to include generalist and full cycle recruiting experience.
· Possesses an understanding of the ever-changing human resources laws and regulatory requirements.
· Strong leadership skills as well as effective consultative skills, high integrity, and sound business judgment. Demonstrated experience leading change.
· Maintains composure under time pressure. Effectively handles conflict and demonstrates flexibility in work style to accommodate changing priorities and fixed deadlines.
· Demonstrated examples of creative problem solving to accomplish the desired business results. Possesses good judgement in assessing appropriate escalation points.
· Strong customer service orientation. Solid interpersonal skills to effectively interact at all levels, across functions.
· Proven ability to role model company values and the highest level of ethics and integrity.
· Maintains a positive and respectful attitude at all times.
· Table stakes include a demonstrated ability to handle confidential and/or sensitive data in appropriate manner.
· Strong action orientation and self-direction. Must be able to make decisions independently.
· Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks, interruptions and varied types of workloads which requires strong time management and organizational skills to ensure accuracy, consistency and follow through.
Working Conditions:
Includes working primarily in an office setting but must be comfortable in a shop and or warehouse environment. This position may require some travel not to exceed 10%.
This is an onsite position, so must be comfortable coming into the office and being present with the employees of Applied Control.
Compensation:
Base Wage Range: $68,000.00 - $75,000.00 annual salary depending upon experience and job-related education. Unique skills will be taken into consideration when setting the wage rate. This is an exempt role so no overtime applies.
Other Variable Compensation: Eligible for an annual profit share award.
