Human Resources Generalist

Job Title: Human Resources Generalist  Department:   Human Resources Reports to:  Manager of Human Resources FLSA Status:  Exempt  MISSION Integrative Emergency Services, LLC (“IES”) is dedicated to cultivating best practices in emergency care, providing comprehensive acute care services, creating value, and supporting patients, employees, clients, clinicians, and physicians in pursuit of the highest quality health care. POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for delivering HR services in support of the company’s goals, mission, values, and strategic direction. This includes, but is not limited to full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, employment law compliance, and training for assigned locations or client group. The HR Generalist will work under the general guidance of the HR Manager to develop and deliver sound business solutions for anticipated, existing, and new business challenges.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following. Others may be assigned. Administers various human resources programs and procedures to employees and clinicians. Serves as the first point of contact for employees and clinicians for all HR needs. Partners with Practice Administers as necessary to ensure exceptional customer services delivery for clinicians. Sources, recruits, screens, and interviews applicants to fill current or expected job vacancies. Handles temporary staffing requests partnering with Agencies as needed for quick time to fill positions to support business operations. Provides direction on Performance Management processes, including coaching, corrective action, and performance evaluation. Responds to employee relations issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations and managerial/co-worker concerns. Escalates to HR Manager as necessary. Act as employee advocate as well as leader support utilizing a balanced approach to ensure decisions made are in the best interest of the organization and its employees and clinicians. High volume processing of employee status transactions (new hires, promotions, transfers, status changes, terminations, etc.) timely and accurately including entry into HRIS system(s).  Ensures data accuracy and integrity in HR systems.  Facilitates onboarding and off-boarding, including managing coordination with appropriate team and conducting exit interviews.  Works with HR team on implementation of programs, policies, and initiatives. As required, takes ownership of assignments that contribute to the results of various HR projects in support of client needs. Gathers HR data and provides analysis and reporting as required by HR leadership. Assists with payroll registry reviews. Reviews, administers, and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, and company policies and procedures, including the maintaining and retention of all personnel records.  Periodically audits personnel folders. Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results for designated locations. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed. Develops and delivers training to leaders and team members on a variety of HR related topics. QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization. Ability to use discretion appropriately and maintain confidentiality. Excellent technical skills particularly high levels of proficiency with MS Office applications.   Ability to focus on details, ensure appropriate follow-up occurs. General knowledge of employment laws and practices. Good problem analysis and problem resolution skills. Ability to use sound judgment and know when to consult with higher-level HR management on problems or other requirements Ability to provide coaching to employees (managers and staff) and clinicians Proven organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work independently on a variety of concurrent projects in a time sensitive manner.  Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven, work environment. Proactive, customer focused, and results oriented.  Ability to navigate a remote employee and clinician population in a complex organizational structure. Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently Education / Experience: Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience preferred to perform the job. Required: High School Diploma or GED 3-5 years of Human Resources or related experience Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business, or related field Human Resources certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) Experience with HRIS systems, particularly Ultimate Kronos (formerly UltiPro) Prior healthcare industry experience PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
