Human Resources Generalist (Bilingual)

The individual in this role is responsible for collaboration with Human Resources Manager, offering HR support to the assigned facilities, encompassing responsibilities such as recruiting, selection, and staffing, managing employment and personnel documentation, conducting job evaluations, handling compensation and benefits matters as well as employee issues. Additionally, the position serves as a liaison between different departments/divisions and various levels of line and staff management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide support for recruitment efforts by developing and executing a recruitment plan and calendar aligned with operational projections.
  • Generate official internal documents, such as offer letters and appointment letters.
  • Plan and conduct orientations, create onboarding plans, and educate newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations.
  • Maintain digital files for employees, including their documents, benefits information, and attendance records.
  • Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs.
  • Recommend new procedures and policies to enhance the efficiency of the HR department and the overall organization, with a focus on improving employee experience.
  • Address questions and concerns raised by team members, provide support in conflict resolution, recommend corrective actions, and conduct exit interviews.
  • Plan, organize, direct, and oversee personnel training and labor relations activities within the organization.
  • Assist in position classification and provide local competitor information for wage surveys.
  • Facilitate discussions, encourage feedback, and address questions and concerns promptly. Report ongoing concerns and trends to management.
  • Develop employee engagement plans, obtain necessary budget approvals, and initiate engagement activities.
  • Undertakes additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by management.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, & Skills required)

  • Bilingual (Spanish)
  • High School Diploma required; bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive Human Resources Generalist experience.
  • Proven experience in human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational analysis, employee relations, diversity, performance management and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as HRIS systems (Paylocity experience a plus)
  • Demonstrates the ability to design workflows and procedures, generate innovative solutions, identify and resolve issues promptly, and coordinate projects effectively.
  • Displays proficiency in project management and coordination.
  • Exhibits professional experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Shows the capacity to generate creative solutions.
  • Demonstrates skill in writing routine reports and correspondence.
  • Possesses effective verbal communication skills, with the ability to address groups of customers or employees in an organization.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and thoroughness in work.
  • Displays diligence in completing tasks in a timely manner, utilizing effective time management skills.
  • Licensing or other special certifications: PHR or equivalent preferred, not required
